Exo 15:26 and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you."
HEALS. (Ex. ) rapha˒ (rah-phah); Strongs #7495: To cure, heal, repair, mend, restore health. Its participial form rophe, one who heals, is the Hebrew word for doctor. The main idea of the verb rapha˒ is physical healing. Some have tried to explain away the biblical teaching of divine healing, but all can see that this verse speaks of physical diseases and their divine cure. The first mention of rapha˒ in the Bible (Gen. 20:17) refers unquestionably to the cure of a physical condition, as do references to healing from leprosy and boils (Lev. ; 14:3). Scripture affirms, I am Yahweh your Physician. (Hayford Bible Handbook)
Psa 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Psa 103:3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Iniquities and diseases are separate here.
Mat 8:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
"He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses."
1Pe 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.
Those verses show why healing is seen in the atoning work of Christ.
The healing covenant in the New Testament can be seen below.
Jam Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
Jam Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
Jam And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Jam Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Jam 5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
Jam And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
He is the same yeaterday today and forever.
Joh Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Healing ministry is part of the great commision.
Mar 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
There is nothing in Scripture to indicate that there will be any diminution in the work of Christ or the New Testament church during the whole church age. Jesus said that His church would do greater works than He had done, because He was going to the Father.
Joh "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
The Lord Jesus Himself, healed through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the same Holy Spirit is still at work in the church.
Act Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Act For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
Luk Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
Luk And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
Luk So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
Luk 17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,
Luk 17:16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
Luk So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
Luk Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?"
Luk And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."
Healing can be progressive, the lepers are healed as they went. Not all healing occurs at the moment of prayer. Instant healings are often expected, and this shows a healing in process over a period of time following prayer. If healing is not instantaneous we ought not to doubt.
Luk 10:8 Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.
Luk 10:9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, "The
Healing is the promise of the kingdom. The Holy Spirit delights to confirm the presence of the kingdom by glorifying the Kings power, verifying Jesus Christs work through the ministry of healing.
Mar And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us."
Mar 9:23 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
Do you see that this shows us how we need to believe?
Prayer and praise provide an atmosphere of faith in God. See below Jesus explained yet another obstacle to faiths victorywhy the disciples prayers had been fruitless
Mar So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."
If we insist that we must always preface our prayer for healing with, If it is Your will. How can we have positive faith if we begin a request with an if? We do not pray for salvation with an if.
Mar Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."
Mar Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."
Mar As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
So if it is God's will to heal, which scripture affirms, why place an if there?
There are times when people have faith yet are not healed and we may ask why? There is an appointed time for us all to live. God has all things under his control, the Kingdom has not yet fully come. When the Kingdom has fully come there will be no more sickness and no more diseases, but for now we should come by faith believing. our God heals, he is Jehovah Rapha..
Isa 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
Isa 6:2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
Isa 6:3 And one cried to another and said:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!"
Isa 6:4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
THE TRAIN OF HIS ROBE FILLED THE

1Co 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
We as the church are the temple of the Holy Spirit. He resides within us. Isaiah saw the glory of Christ and God the Father, similarly to what Moses did. The train of His robe is surely the hem of His garment, readily accessible to us as believers.
Mat When they had crossed over, they came to the
Mat And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick,
Mat and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well.
The boat docked at Gennesaret, on the northwest shore of the
The word translated, hem, is actually referring to the fringes, or tassels (called tzitziyot, in Hebrew), required to be on the four corners of all clothing of Jewish men, in accordance with God's instruction.
Num 15:37 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Num "Speak to the children of
Num 15:39 And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the LORD and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined,
Num 15:40 and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.
Num I am the LORD your God,
Mat And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment.
Mat For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well."
Mat But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
Their faith made them well, they believed that God was able to heal them and they were ready to receive that healing. It is possible to think that we are operating in all the faith we need if we believe that God can perform the miracle that we are requesting. But we aren't using the faith that gets results until we believe it is going to work for us.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
We not only have to believe that God is able but we have to also believe that He will reward us with our answer.
I have seen limbs grow before my eyes when people have had prayer for healing for back pain. My own left leg grew about an inch to align with my right leg . I have seen the crippled walk, I have seen people healed of cancer and other illnesses when the doctors had given up hope.
Mar 1:41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."
The words of Jesus to the leper were I am willing

GOD HEALS IN RESPONSE TO FAITH AND HIS HEALING IS FOR ALL.
23 Jesus went throughout
Healing here goes along with the preaching of the good news of the kingdom. The gospel of the kingdom includes healing.
5 When Jesus had entered
The centurion exercised faith and his servant was healed.
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour.
It will be done as you believed.
14 When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15 He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.
Peter had faith and his mother-in- law was healed.
16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."
He healed all and this was a fulfilment of
6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...." Then he said to the paralytic, "Get up, take your mat and go home." 7 And the man got up and went home. 8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to men.
The paralytic had to exercise faith to obey the words of Jesus
22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.
Healed by faith after touching the hem of his garment in faith
25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.
Jairus had faith and his daughter was healed
28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied. 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you"; 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, "See that no one knows about this."
ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH IT WILL BE DONE UNTO YOU
33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in
Kingdom authority includes deliverance.
1 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
He gave the disciples authority to heal every disease and sickness.
13 Then he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.
By faith the man stretched out his hand and he was healed.
22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.
Deliverance for the afflicted.
58 And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
They were not healed because of lack of faith.
16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him." 17 "O unbelieving and perverse generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me." 18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, "Why couldn't we drive it out?" 20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Faith even such as a mustard seed can move mountains.
32 Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked. 33 "Lord," they answered, "we want our sight." 34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.
They had faith and received their sight.
25 "Be quiet!" said Jesus sternly. "Come out of him!" 26 The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.
Jesus commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man.
40 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." 41 Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
Jesus said I am willing be healed.
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins . . . ." He said to the paralytic, 11 "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, "We have never seen anything like this!"
Demonstration of kingdom authority should go along with salvation.
5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.
The man stretched out his hand in obedience and he was healed.
8 For Jesus had said to him, "Come out of this man, you evil spirit!"
Jesus spoke the words and demons had to flee.
34 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
It was her faith that healed her.
35 While Jesus was still speaking, some men came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. "Your daughter is dead," they said. "Why bother the teacher any more?" 36 Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, "Don't be afraid; just believe."
"Don't be afraid; just believe."
41 He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum!" (which means, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!" ). 42 Immediately the girl stood up and walked around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.
He raised the dead.
5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 And he was amazed at their lack of faith.
Only a few were healed, too many lacked faith.
29 Then he told her, "For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter." 30 She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
A mother had faith and her daughter was set free from the demon.
33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears. Then he spit and touched the man's tongue. 34 He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Ephphatha!" (which means, "Be opened!" ). 35 At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.
Jesus although being truly God, was truly human and He set aside His glory and used Kingdom authority, he was empowered by the Holy Spirit and He looked towards heaven in communion with His father then this man was healed.
22 They came to
Those people had faith that Jesus would heal the blind man and he was healed.
19 "O unbelieving generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me." 20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. 21 Jesus asked the boy's father, "How long has he been like this?" "From childhood," he answered. 22 "It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us." 23 " 'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." 24 Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" 25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. "You deaf and mute spirit," he said, "I command you, come out of him and never enter him again." 26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, "He's dead." 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
Strange how that generation were so unbelieving, what does it remind you of? They didnt have the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit though and we do.
51 "What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus asked him. The blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to see." 52 "Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you." Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
The blind man came in faith and was healed
15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
The commission we have given includes demonstration of Kingdom authority. It includes healing and deliverance as well as salvation.
35 "Be quiet!" Jesus said sternly. "Come out of him!" Then the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without injuring him.
Jesus just had to command demons to come out and it was so. He has given us that authority as his people we can see those things happen in the name of Jesus
39 So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them.
Jesus rebuked sickness and disease. He did this because it had no place in her body. The author of sickness and disease is Satan himself. The nature of God is that of a healer- he is Jehovah Rapha
40 When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.
He laid hands on each one of the sick and they were healed.
12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." 13 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" And immediately the leprosy left him.
Jesus never said I will not heal you.
24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...." He said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." 25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God.
The demonstration of kingdom authority brings forth salvation. In Acts chapter 2 on the day of Pentecost 3,000 were saved in response to what they saw and heard but in chapter 3 a lame man was healed and at the beginning of chapter 4 we read that 5,000 men and probably woman and children were saved after seeing this miracle.
9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in
Would Jesus be amazed at our faith?
14 Then he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" 15 The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, a man who had been lying dead in the mortuary was raised from the dead in the basement of a building while Reinhard Bonke was speaking. His wife had faith and had his coffin delivered there. The presence of God- the glory brings forth healing.
48 Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."
When we exercise faith we experience that wonderful peace of God.
50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed." 54 But he took her by the hand and said, "My child, get up!" 55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--> <!--[endif]-->
Just believe- be healed. Those were Jesus words.
14 Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed.
People stand in awe and amazement when they see the miraculous. Is it any wonder that the enemy has fed so many lies to the
12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity." 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
We should give praise to God for our healing, it is God who heals.
12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" 14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. 15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked himand he was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" 19Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
Jesus healed ten lepers yet only one a Samaritan thought to thank him.
42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you." 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
People witnessing the miracles also gave praise to God.
50 Jesus replied, "You may go. Your son will live." The man took Jesus at his word and departed.
We too need to take Jesus at His word.
8 Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." 9At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,
Jesus was not bound by traditions of men, he healed this man on the Sabbath.
6 Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes. 7 "Go," he told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam" (this word means Sent). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
The man acted by faith and obedience and he was healed.
43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."
Lazarus arose from the grave, although he had been buried in the tomb for four days because of his compassion for Mary and Martha and they had faith that if Jesus had been present their brother would not have died. Jesus wept with compassion, he hurts when we hurt, he is gracious, merciful and compassionate and responds to our faith.
BE NOT DOWNHEARTED GOD IS HERE
Depressed Christians can find themselves riddled with guilt, obsessed with feelings of failure, and actually have problems believing that God loves and forgives them. They may know that God loves everyone, but they can feel as if God has deserted them.
Psa 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
Psa 147:4 He counts the number of the stars;
He calls them all by name.
God is in the business of restoring, He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. The God who numbers the stars and calls each of them by name, surely numbers His people and knows each one of us individually and intimately. Indeed, he has numbered even the hairs on our heads.
Luk 12:7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
So, in God's eyes we are so very important.
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
With His healing hand on a broken heart,
And the other on a star,
Our wonderful God views the miles apart,
And they seem not very far.

1Jo 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
1Jo 5:5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
God's Word says that we as believers are overcomers.
Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
God wants to restore our joy. Confess to the Lord any unconfessed sin.
Rom Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Isa 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
The Lord loves you, and He desires for you to be kept in perfect peace of heart and mind.
Phi 3:7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.
Phi 3:8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
We need to get our perspective right. The most wonderful thing to gain of all is Jesus Christ.
Psa 30:4 Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.
Psa 30:5 For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.

Joh These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
The trials and tribulations of this life pale into shadow for joy comes in the morning. God gives us peace. He has overcomethe world. In Him we have the victory no matter what is coming up against us.
Psa 46:1 God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
HEALING IN HIS WINGS
The Lord our God is the son of righteousness,
And He rises with healing in His wings,
Generation after generation has experienced healing,
For He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord that heals.
God does not change with the seasons ,
Yesterday today forever He is the same,
Gods mercies are for everyone,
He is the healer of the sick and the lame.
The sick are healed through praying in faith,
The Lord will raise them up as His Word saith,
The words of Jesus were I am willing, be healed,
For it is by the stripes he took we are healed.
Im believing and receiving for a total inner healing,
For my Lord and my God is forever willing,
To renew the strength of all who wait on Him,
I will rise up like and eagle, healed to soar with Him.
